"I'm a little dramatic" – Varun Dhawan

Everyone saw Remo D’Souza’s first ABCD film and fell in love with all of the characters, then the announcement for ABCD 2 was released the stars of the movie were the handsome Varun Dhawan and gorgeous Shraddha Kapoor.  Well recently Varun went to a conference for the India Today Youth Summit, and when he had entered there was a bunch of screaming, cheering and a whole lot of fans happy and excited to meet him.

He was asked questions on a series of topics and check out what he answered. When talking about his first kiss he stated,

“I’m not going to tell you her name… a gentleman doesn’t kiss and tell. Anyway, I was 13 years old, she was a year younger than me. It was at the back of her building. I don’t know why, but I thought I knew what I was going to be doing. I’d seen Titanic and all. After a few minutes of my fumbling around, she got impatient, caught me, said ‘what are you doing?’ and then just went for it…”

He was even asked about his view towards relationships and he expressed,

“I don’t think this generation is as ‘fast’ as people say. I mean, the 70’s had their flower-power generation. It’s just a phase that they went through, and now we’re going through. Relationships are awesome, I think we need them. There’re lots of kinds; friendship, family… but you have to work on them, invest in your relationships,  in people.”

Then he added about his own first relationship,

“I was in college at the time… it was the first serious, long term relationship I’d been in. I think it had lasted four months… but then she cheated with me. I think I dealt with it okay; I’m a little dramatic – I’m an actor, after all – so I think I somewhere wanted to experience heartbreak anyway. There are supposed to be nine emotions, and you need to go through all of them to learn.”

The India Today Youth Summit is an annual date to remember. The goal of this event is for young people to have the chance and opportunity to interact with icons, their role models, people who have struggled to make ends meet and in the end have become successful. We are glad that Varun Dhawan had a chance to be part of this event and make a difference in people’s life.
