In a high octave event full of fanfare, Honorable Mrs. Alka Kelkar (Deputy Mayor of Brihanmumbai Muncipal Corporation) today launched the foot-tapping music of India’s first Carbon Neutral film Biswajeet Bora’s ‘Aisa Yeh Jahaan’. Produced by Maya Kholie under Kholie Entertainment, the music which has been composed by Dr. Palash Sen is being released through Zee Music. The lyrics are written by Dahlia Sen-Oberoi, Deekshant Sehrawat and Dr. Palash Sen. The film also marks the return of Dr. Palash Sen as an actor to Bollywood after 13 years.
Held at the hip new suburban Lounge Boveda (Andheri), the ‘Aisa Yeh Jahaan’ music launch was a star studded night, with Bollywood industry in attendance. In addition to Dr. Palash Sen and Ira Dubey,Maya Kholie and singers Abhilasha Sinha, Kinshuk Sen, Naresh Kamath, Suneet Bora, Indian Idol Junior 2013 winner Anjana Padmanabhan, Bollywood industry figureheads and the complete lead cast of ‘Aisa Yeh Jahaan’ amongst others, were also present.
The evening kicked off with a brief address and welcome note by Biswajeet Bora. The evening also witnessed a classic Dr. Palash Sen when he performed live on ‘Sautela Seheher’, which has already garnered a lot of attention online, and the title track ‘Aisa Yeh Jahaan’ mesmerizing the audiences. This was followed by the whole team of the film taking to the stage for the formal ceremonial launch of ‘Aisa Yeh Jahaan’s’ music. Post the launch, Dr. Palash Sen and Era Dubey also addressed the crowd, taking them through their journey and the musical journey of the film. Elated Biswajeet Bora said,
“I am very proud of our film’s music. We have tried to keep a good balance of genres while reaching out to maximum cross-section of people, without compromising on the context of the film. Palash was the right choice for the film as he understands the space very well and simultaneously connects with the audiences.”
“When Biswajeet approached me for the film, I was very excited and asked him who he had zeroed in for the music. It seemed like a fantastic script and I immediately told Biswajeet that I wanted to give the music for the film as I connected with the film and he immediately said yes. The journey has been amazing, fun-filled and am sure its response would validate the same,” added composer-singer Dr. Palash Sen.
Shot across Mumbai and Assam, Aisa Yeh Jahan is a film that depicts the relationship between a husband and wife, the ever growing human detachment with nature and people’s attitude towards the physiology of a child’s growth which is portrayed in a light-hearted yet satirical fashion.
