Vinay Pathak, we’ve seen him in all sorts of whimsical roles while throwing away some amazing dry humor, but for the first time in his career, Vinay will be seen in a biographic! A serious and soul shattering role.
His next film Gour Hari Dastaan: The Freedom File, we will see him in a deep and intense character. Typically we are used to him with his excellent comic timing and witty-humorous roles, now he is challenging himself with a profound role. It was overheard that Vinay took a break from his social life and locked himself for a while to get the gist and feel of the role. Vinay who plays the main character in the film believes that this movie is an image changer for him, this role is an opportunity that he was longing for a very long time.

I must laud Anant Sir for asking me to be a part of this film. He was fully aware of the stereotype of a ‘comic actor’ that’s been bestowed upon me. But trusting me with a real life character of such dimensions depth and variety was indeed a huge risk which he took. I feel privileged and honored! Not to mention his vision.
