Filmy Friday: Hamari Adhuri Kahani Review!

From Aashiqui 2 to Ek Villain and now, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, director Mohit Suri really understands how to capture love, romance and pain on the big-screen and making the audience feel extremely moved.

This afternoon I watched a romantic drama film where love was captured on a whole other level. Every dialogue, every emotion, every tear was flawless and perfectly placed. I didn’t want the love-story between Vasudha and Aarav to end.

Love is an emotion I thoroughly enjoy seeing on-screen. I’m the type of girl who falls hard for a good romantic film. Hamari Adhuri Kahani is definitely a romantic film which has hit the top of my life.

If you’re not a romantic type, its still a must watch! Why? Because this film conveys reasons why we step into a relationship and why we shouldn’t step into a relationship. It conveys a message to those who do not understand how to love or what love is, or even better, what life is. Mahesh Bhatt’s story was painful, beautiful and emotional.

Emraan Hasmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkumar Rao, it’s a perfect on-screen trio. No this isn’t your typical story where the same guy falls in-love with the same girl. It’s something different and meaningful. Vidya Balan is a beautiful actress and most importantly she is extremely convincing on-screen. Emraan Hasmi, known to have sensual on-screen scenes with his co-stars, but this time he was the charming persona that every girl wants to fall in love with. And Rajkumar Rao, well he was simply outstanding as he was in his first film, Kai Po Che. Rajkumar was the character you hate and also feel bad for, and at the same time he represents what a lot of people are afraid to see themselves with when stepping into a marriage.

Every Mohit Suri film never fails to have beautiful heart-breaking-romantic tracks and so does this one. The music of the film is composed by, Ami Mishra, Jeet Gannguli, and Mithoon. My favorite track of the film is definitely the title track.

All I can say about Hamari Adhuri Kahaani is that you will feel heavy-hearted when walking out of the cinema hall. You will also crave for Vasudha and Aarav’s love story and you will not stop listening to the soundtrack of the film. It’s a definite must-watch film for 2015!
