Bajrangi Bhaijaan gets a ‘Chicken’ tune?

Well there’s one thing everyone will agree – a year is incomplete without a blockbuster release on Ramzan Eid. This year Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is set to release during this auspicious time. And what’s more – the movie brings back the hit trio of Salman, Kareena and music composer Pritam, after Bodyguard.

A source close to the composer confirmed the news saying,

“Pritam is really looking forward to working with Salman and Kareena again. Bodyguard was a memorable film and he hopes to recreate the same magic with Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Since the film is releasing on Eid, he has something special in mind that he is sure the audience will love.”

Pritam delivered some chart busting songs for their last film together, and we are definitely looking for something exceptional this time over.

He also states that a tune is coming with a ton of sounds like a chicken and clucking sounds?

Primate states:

“It’s a situation song which celebrates chicken and needed lots of clucking sounds with a few cockadoodle crows thrown in,” informs the composer.

And to add – he found two great experts who were pretty good at sounding like it. One of them, Wylie Galt Gustafson, is a yodeller from Montana, USA, who is famous for his chicken yodle song. He has created and voiced the signature Yahooo-oo-oo for Yahoo, Inc. – Yes we all remember that sound don’t we?

And who might the other expert be? Well it’s Nernhard Betschart, a leading Swiss yodeller.

“I contacted both of them and they collaborated with me on this song. We recorded on skype and the song has come out really well,” says Pritam,

He admits that Mayur Puri had to struggle a bit to find the right words for the cocks, hens and chicken running around the song.

“The tune came easily but the lyrics were tricky and took time. It’s a situational song and integral to the plot. We wanted it to work for the story and also the audience, particularly kids since the film’s hero, Salman Khan has a huge kid fan base,” points out Pritam.

He had recorded the track months and has been working on the rest of songs.

“Now that Kabir is back from his shoot in Srinagar we will sit down and finalise the score. Cluck, cluck, I hope everyone likes the other songs as much as Salman and the rest of the team liked this one,” he smiles.

I guess we will have to wait for this tune – till then “cockadoodle do?”
