International acting and singing sensation Priyanka Chopra has teamed up with Bollywood co-star, actor-producer Farhan Akhtar to lend her voice to the title track of this year’s most awaited release, Dil Dhadakne Do!

Written by Javed Akhtar, the track will be available for download on iTunes from Friday, 24th April 2015 and will be available digitally on Thursday, 23rd April with the exclusive video track featuring Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar. While Farhan has sung songs in movies like Rock On, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Priyanka had lend her voice for Bollywood movies like Mary Kom. But this will be the first time that the two performers will come together and create musical magic onscreen.
This song will mark a new milestone in Priyanka Chopra’s singing career. Her international singing debut was “In My City” feat. Will.i.am, while her second single “Exotic” was with international rapper Pitbull. Her third single “I can’t Make You Love Me” went on to chart topping heights and was even featured in the top 100 international songs and albums. The stars have been taking to social media today to express their excitement around the release of the film’s first video and track. Priyanka Chopra took to Twitter to share how nervous she was:
“No swag right now! All I am is a bundle of nerves! Why? #1DayToDDDTitleTrack in the voices of @FarOutAkhtar &ME! Yikes!”
Actor Anil Kapoor also took to social networking site to say:
“Weather forecasts predicts a storm at 4pm tomorrow! #IDayToDDDTitleTrack”
Even Anushka Sharma could not contain her excitement when she informed her fans on Twitter:
“Soooo the title song of #DilDhadakneDo will release tomorrow at 4 pm.Get ready to shake your toes #1DayToDDDTitleTrack”
Ever since its release, the theatrical trailer of Dil Dhadakne Do has captured the imagination of the nation and garnered over 2 million views in less than 2 days. The trailer, which was launched last week, has been trending on all social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Google Trends.
The film is set on a European cruise, which provides the perfect canvas to highlight the various aspects of the Dil Dhadakne Do family. As a part of this ensemble cast, international icon Anil Kapoor, plays brilliantly the role of the modern father. Shefali Shah, who plays the wife, makes a lasting impression in the very watchable trailer. We see their daughter, Priyanka Chopra struggling to break out of an unhappy marriage (to Rahul Bose’s character), while her first love, Farhan Akhtar looks charismatic on screen. Ranveer Singh completes the familial line-up as the son who is trying to find his calling in the world. Bringing a breath of fresh sea air to proceedings is actress Anushka Sharma, who plays Ranveer’s love interest, an entertainer onboard.
Dil Dhadakne Do is presented by Junglee Pictures and Excel Entertainment, and produced by Excel Entertainment. The film is set to release internationally on 5th June 2015.
