Pakistani television actress Mahira Khan has created quite a name for herself first in the Shoaim Mansoor’s social drama, Bol and later in the international hit Humsafar! The actresses talents have impressed director Rahul Dholakia, producers Ritesh Sidwani and Farhan Akhtar so much that they’ve decided to sign her opposite Shah Rukh Khan in their next creation, Raees!
Mahira Khan has been lucky with co-stars, in Bol she was opposite super star singer-actor, Atif Aslam, and in Humsafar she was opposite India’s latest heartthrob, Fawad Khan. Now with her Bollywood debut being opposite King Khan himself, Mahira Khan is bound to have a magnificent launch!
In Raees, Shah Rukh Khan plays a Gujarat based gangster in the film and Mahira will be playing the role that of his wife. The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddique who’ll essay the role of a Mumbai cop. Raees is slated to go on floors in 2015 and certain portions of it will be shot in Gujarat.
