Bollywood Featured Music What's Happenin'

Ambika Jois and Rax Timyr send you back in time with Sonu Nigam’s ‘ Dil Se Sil Tak Baat Pahunchi’

Get ready to remember some old memories! We all love old tunes and we all love soothing sounds of old tunes from old films. This is one tune I had to play on repeat which made me fall in love tunes that are old classics. Ambika Jois and Rax Timyr Productions send you back in time to remember songs we all grew up with. They chose to start off with a candlelight cover of ‘Dil Se Sil Tak Baat Pahunchi’ from Sonu Nigam’s debut album ‘Deewana’ (1999) as it embodies how they both  feel about music and their loved ones.
They believed that this song reaches out to many people out there who love slow melodious ballads, especially given that it’s a well-known song from a profoundly gifted singer Sonu Nigam. It’s a soothing song which will make you close your eyes and take you to another place. Check out the sooting sounds of Ambika Jois doing a cover of the beautiful song!

This cover is an honest rendition that attempts to coalesce a well-known melody in the simplest yet most intimate approach. Ambika’s versatility harbours resonance throughout this piece, fulfilling what could be described as an Indi-Pop ballad with influences of Indian classical nuances

“I grew up listening to this album and have always held the songs dear to my heart. From the beginning, this song stood out for me and when the time arrived for me to sing again (on video, after a long time), it was undoubtedly ‘the one’ to start with. My last music video release was ‘Meri Maa – Vande Mataram’ an original song released via Saregama India produced by Rax Timyr, alongside vocalist Kishan Amin, which was a good year ago.”
Following Rax Timyr’s recent collaboration with the well-known 88 Keys To Euphoria featuring Aakash Gandhi, Jonita Gandhi and Pratik Rao on the official cover of ‘Sajde’ from the Bollywood movie Kill Dil, myself and Rax are coming to the end of the production of my debut album. We now both want to start reaching out to listeners and share our love for music through covers.”
She adds.

Accompanied by composer, record producer and multi-instrumentalist Rax Timyr on piano, this piece of music is the first of many that aims to reach the hearts of our listeners. Let us know what you think of the tune as we fell in love with the soothing sounds and instruments of both musicians!
