It was the trailer and music launch of the much awaited film “Rang Rasiya” and it turned out to be one of the most memorable event for the media. On this occasion Producer Anand Mahendroo and Deepa Sahi, Director Ketan Mehta and Presenter Jayantilal Gada were present. The cast of the film with actor Randeep Hooda playing the protagonist, and his three supporting ladies, actresses Trupta Parashar, Ferena Wazir and Rachna Shah made the event distinctly glitzy.
Also present were melody maestros Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, Roopkumar Rathod, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rajeshwari Pathak and Anwarbhai (King of Rajasthani Folk) with his team.
Staying true to the title of the film, RANG RASIYA music launched filled the evening was music and literature that colored the senses. Live performances by Sunidhi Chauhan and Roopkumar Rathod who did a duet with ‘Chaliya’, and Anwar Purkshis who came together with Kailash Kher and turned on the sufi flavour for the night with “Anand naad laga de”.
Sandesh Shandilya the music composer present on the occasion, said,
“When Ketan showed me the script along with numerous paintings of Raja Ravi Varma for ‘Rang Rasiya’, I was quite nervous. I thought the movie is so colorful, will I be able to give his percussion music? It really was a challenge for me but I took the challenge. And now I feel very happy, because of this film I got an amazing team to work with me. This film gave me industry’s best singers like Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher and Roopakumaar ji. Everyone has supported me and today I am very thankful to them. Also this film’s director Ketan Mehta, producer Deepa Sahi, Anand Mahendroo and Jayantibhai, I would like to thank for showing their faith in me.”
Sonu Nigam said,
“It doesn’t take much time to prepare food, but it takes a lot of effort and time to prepare a sweet. Rang Rasiyaa is a dessert.”
Produced by Jayantilal Gada, Rang Rasiya is based on the life of a famous painter Raja Ravi Varma. In this film, the role of Raja Ravi Varma is essayed by actor Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen will be playing the role of Sughanda Bai. The film will be released in theatres across India on November 7.
