She made a very unconventional debut for a Bollywood actress, starting out in a negative role opposite Akshay Kumar in Abbas-Mustan’s 2001 thriller ‘Ajnabee’, which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Since then Bengali beauty Bipasha Basu has rightly earned herself a place amongst the top ranking desirable actresses in the Indian film industry.

Eleven-years on she is eagerly awaiting the release of her forthcoming multi-starrer and remake of Hollywood film ‘The Italian Job’. Playing the role of Rhea – an automobile expert in ‘Players’ she is once again set to sizzle the screen after audiences have already been wowed by her stunning figure, shown off in a Bikini sequence during the trailers.

Bipasha Basu spoke with Urban Asian’s Bollywood reporter Meera Majithia about her forthcoming film, her fitness regime and her relationship with co-star Sonam Kapoor.
