A 2-hour flight delay and knee injuries didn’t keep King Khan from staying true to his word. Despite his bad knee conditions, Shahrukh Khan made it to all the meetings, events and appearances he was scheduled for in Toronto on June 24th, one of which included visiting the Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford.
Mayor Rob Ford had tweeted earlier this week announcing
“#Bollywood Star Shahrukh Khan is coming to #Toronto City Hall for a visit tomorrow afternoon!”
Shahrukh Khan was scheduled to come for 5:45pm and boy is he punctual! The Mayor made his way to the red carpet meeting and greeting fans from all around. Minutes later, a few cars pulled in from the left side, one in which had the King Khan himself. Fans went crazy just at the sight of the cars moving forward, chanting “SHAHRUKH, SHAHRUKH” repeatedly. King Khan stepped out of the car looking handsome as always and went straight towards his fans to meet them.
The tight security around him didn’t stop his true fans from pushing and shoving their way to touch him, get his autograph, and snap pictures of him. SRK didn’t mind either; he appreciates all his fans and made sure to go around to greet all of them with a smile on his face. He even went to the media side and greeted them! Soon after the Mayor took him inside the City Hall building where the fans rushed to get another glimpse of their favourite star.
It was chaotic with fans running everywhere and people flashing their camera’s like crazy, no wonder King Khan needed those shades on inside. They don’t call him the “Baadshah of Bollywood” for no reason. King Khan, you are truly amazing!
