I'll try to keep this short and sweet (like me, haha!), but if you know anything about me, it's that I talk a lot!! I've been with Urban Asian since its conception in October 2010. Since then, I have poured my heart and soul into helping to build this brand and establishing the site as your #1 source for all things desi! I fell into the world of media by chance and am currently Editor, writer, and interviewer for Urban Asian. The journey has been incredible and I'm thankful to have you all with me on it! I am an avid reader, a huge movie buff (Bollywood, Hollywood, and other foreign movies), love every style of music, and am very passionate about dance! I am trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Bharat Natayam, Kuchipudi, and Odissi. I love any and all sports, but growing up in New England, the Patriots and Sox are my favs! In addition, I love to draw and am a web comic artist (see link to my web comic "Erratic Beat Comics"). I've always been strong in academics. Computers have been my forte since I was 4 years old. I used to teach adults even at that age! I was in 9th grade when I took my first programming class at a local college. My background is in web design, computer programming, 3D Animation (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iT71UmM8jMM), and the hard sciences. I graduated a year early from Brandeis University with my B.S. Honors in Health: Science, Society, and Policy (HSSP). Now, in the real world, I am a law student (cue Jaws theme!). I'm half a lawyer right now! Woo hoo! I'll officially get my JD summer of 2014! I do all our book reviews for Urban Asian as well as album reviews. So, if you need any music / book reviews done feel free to e-mail me and please put "Review" in the subject line. If you are requesting me to do an interview, put "Interview Request" in the subject line. Please feel free to reach out to me at roopa@urbanasian.com.
